Outlook 2007 Beta "Can't Brows Internet"?

When I try and open a file say for import or just to connect to a PST file I
get a file dialog box. When I click on "Computer" or "Network" I get and
error saying something to the effect of "Cannot enter an internet address
from this location". Now seeing as i was only trying to get to the root
computer so that I could browse to the file I was looking for I don't have
any idea what it was talinging about. I have to manually type the address in
the above bar as selecting the "computer" options does not work.

Re: Outlook 2007 Beta "Can't Brows Internet"?

That will sometimes happen if you have both Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007
installed on the same machine, or if you install an Incompatible Version of
the Microsoft Outlook Connecter for MSN.

Sorry not it. This is a clean install with Vist and Office 2007 installed and
really not much else.

RE: Outlook 2007 Beta "Can't Brows Internet"?

I've had the same thing happen and not sure why Vista insists that I can't
browse the network from certain kinds of boxes. Very annoying. I think I
finally managed to create a link in the left bar to where I wanted to go so I
could select it. I haven't tried since installing build 5536, so don't know
if it will still reject browsing the computer or network. I'll try it soon;
I'm still reinstalling everything after the clean install.
