| Vista Ultimate 32bit | External HDD does not work I have a samsung external HDD after using it for a while I get the message " volume// is not accessible " on all local drives. What cause this problem?? I try many programs to solve this problem and it does not work. The only solution is to format all local drives. |

| | Re: External HDD does not work The "Power Management" tab on the device Properties of the port used to connect the volume is being allowed to 'turn off the power to this device" Something like: devmgmt.msc USB Root Hub device properties (or whatever device) -- Was this helpful? | Vista Ultimate 32bit | Re: External HDD does not work I have a 80 GB samsung external HDD with two partitions C: & D: after using this HDD many times I have the following message: C:\ is not accessible The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable D:\ is not accessible The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable chkdsk does not work and the file system is RAW the HDD works again only when I format it. Any thoughts on what's going on here and how to fix it? |
