make partition INactive

I accidentally made a partition active in disk manager that shouldn't
be active but there seems no way to change it back? Help anyone
please?

Thanks in advance.

RE: make partition INactive

Hello,
Open an elevated cmd prompt
run diskpart
In diskpart run> list volume
In diskpart run>select partition (x)
where (x) if the partition you accidently marked active
Then in diskpart run> inactive

Refresh your disk management screen (F5 to refresh the disk management
screen) to ensure the correct partition was changed.
Do this before any reboots.

Thanks,
