UAC turned off

If you turn it off, will it make Vista faster? And if so, how do you turn it
off?

Hello,
A.) You won't see/notice any difference one way or the other.
B.) It makes just as much sense as leaving your front open at all time so you can get in and out faster.
Don't do it if that's the only reason.

Hello,

No it will not make Vista any noticeably faster or slower with UAC on or off. You might read the information in this tutorial to help with your question. I would recommend that you leave UAC turned on as is for the best security.

User Account Control (UAC)

Re: UAC turned off

You can go here and download a reg file to turn it on and off.
Lines 7 and 8.
You must reboot for this to work.

Re: UAC turned off

Yes. I have turned it off since the first day of my Vista. Since I have got
security program on board. Many month passed and still very well and
peaceful mind of a windows user. The UAC is the worst thing on Vista for me.
