| Guest | Windows Vista Ultimate Activation Hi, I'm Khairil Anuar from ITServices Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, one of the participant of Heroes Launch 2008 in Kuala Lumpur. I have some questions that need clarification regarding the Windows Vista Ultimate DVD. 1. I had received the DVD, registered and received the product key. 2. I had chosen "5000 or more" machines for the DVD when first registered. 3. I had no problem installing WVU on the first 2 machines. However, on the 3rd and 4th machines, I received an error message when trying to activate WVU. I was informed that the product key has already been used by other machines and I was asked to buy another product key? Please kindly advise? |

| Guest | Re: Windows Vista Ultimate Activation What Carey said isn't strictly true. Student versions of MS software allow three simultaneous activations on the same product key. I am guessing that the activation server allows for the eventuality, that you are transferring Vista from one machine to another. In time it would object to the two copies running simultaneously. | Guest | Re: Windows Vista Ultimate Activation No. Any Windows Vista license Microsoft may hand out is good for just one (1) installation on one (1) computer. Licensing for Windows Vista and Office 2007 is entirely different. -- Carey Frisch Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience - Windows System & Performance --------------------------------------------------------------- "april wrote: i remember seeing on an "office 2007" licence that the licence was allowed on a main pc and a portable one could it be similar ?
