Vista - Power point

Can't find Power point application in vista on my laptop "Compact" does it
have one?

If not how do i download the application free?

You can not. PowerPoint is commercial software for sale, and is not
legally available for a free download anywhere.

You might want to try the free OpenOffice, which has a PowerPoint-like
component, and see if that meets your needs.

PowerPoint is NOT part of Vista, nor was it part of any previous OS.
It has always been either a standalone program or part of an MS Office
suite.

this will allow you to see PowerPoint slides
or you can buy the full program if you want to make presentations
