| | System randomly reboots Recently I installed SP1 for Vista Business. The SP1 update was the last thing added to the system. Since then the number of crashes and random reboots has increased dramatically. So far today the system has rebooted three times. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? if so have you found a solution. Thanks. |

| | Re: System randomly reboots The first thing I would do is to try and check the CPU temperature and/or try to add some cooling for your computer. I say that knowing it may well be a software issue, but it is always a good idea to eliminate hardware stuff as well and I don't know of any software issues that might cause it, but then I certainly don't know Vista all that well. <oldman@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:vqnu04hn15buuhiqtjksulbb435ns51qas@xxxxxx Quote: > Recently I installed SP1 for Vista Business. | | Re: System randomly reboots Right-click on the 'Computer' icon and select 'Properties'. Select 'Advanced System Settings' Click on the 'Settings' button under 'Start Up and Recovery' In the 'System Failure' area, untick the 'automatically restart'. It won't stop the crashes but rather than the pc restarting you'll get the Blue Screen Of Death instead. Usually it'll give an error message that might give a clue what's wrong.
