setting "one click" for desktop icons launch

In XP, from control panel, we were able to set "one click" to launch apps
from the desktop, clicking on their icons.

How to set this in Vista ? Thanks,

Hello,

- Click Start
- Click Computer
- Click the Organize button on the toolbar
- Click Folder and Search Options
- Click "Single-click to open an item (point to select)"
- Click OK

Thank you Jimmy. This feature became obscure in Vista.

Re: setting "one click" for desktop icons launch

Anybody else notice that once you set one click that EVERYTHING is one click
like selecting wallpaper. When you click on the wallpaper you want to
preview it just goes ahead and does it and closes the selection window.
Kind of annoying.

Re: setting "one click" for desktop icons launch

That's why I don't use the single-click setting.

Re: setting "one click" for desktop icons launch

I was first exposed to it in XP. It cam that way in my laptop. I didn't like
it in the begining, I almost prefer it now.
