| | Vista 'User' profile now pointing at 'Public' profile? Hi ... My GF has a problem with her Vista - she's finding that when she logs on (with the same profile she always has), the desktop she sees isn't the one she always did, but it now appears to be the desktop from the 'Public' profile (in the 'Users' folder. Her profile 'Susie' is still there). I'm not sure how, but the profiles seem to have been switched - her 'Susie' login profile now points(?) at the 'Public' profile folder, instead of the 'Susie' profile folder... I hope this makes sense! Does anyone know how to fix this? Cheers ... Mark |

| | Re: Vista 'User' profile now pointing at 'Public' profile? Hi, Sounds like her profile is corrupt and a temporary one is being created. Generally these are not recoverable. I would create a new one and copy the data from the old one into it. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Cap'n" <captain.black@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9db534a3-9ddd-4e2d-8eb6-0efdc77a968f@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi ...
