| Guest | Office 2007 not showing as Installed I need to uninstalled the trial version of Office 2007 (because I have Office 2003), but when I go to programs to uninstall it is not shown as being installed. As a matter of fact, several programs are not showing. In researching this I found that it is a common bug in Vista and found a fix through Microsoft, but too complicated for me to perform. The problem it has caused is an automatic update, updated 2007 and now my 2003 is not working properly. Any other suggestions? |

| Guest | RE: Office 2007 not showing as Installed This is the method that I was describing that I downloaded, but a little complicated looking for me. Just not sure of fooling around in the registry is all. AND, it states that it does not remove it completely this way. Any other suggestions? Restore doesn't help "Carey Frisch [MVP]" wrote:

| Guest | Re: Office 2007 not showing as Installed Adding to the previous excellent answers This is not a bug in Vista but rather it is a common problem when installing a Trial of Office 2007 OVER a previous version of Office that was not a Trial instead of installing it to a different directory. You need to uninstall all reference to all Office installs including the previous version(s) and then re-install Office 2003. For further help on this issue I suggest that you repost this to one of the Office newsgroups as per below http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ic.office.misc http://www.microsoft.com/communities...c.office.setup -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. | Guest | Re: Office 2007 not showing as Installed You should try to find some local help with the procedure. Saving the data and restoring to factory defaults is about your only other choice. -- Was this helpful? Then click the Ratings button.
