| Vista Home Premium 32bit | wuauserv not in registry Hello all, I need a little help. I am no longer able to use the updates in Vista. the registry entry for wuauserv no longer exists. I try to use the cmd line "sc create wuauserv" to reinstall this registry key, although it is not complete. How can I reinstall this? |

At the top of the pane, rt/click on CMD, and run as Administrator. In the CMD window, type in.....SFC /scannow.(note the space C /). The system will do a System File Check, and rectify any errors it finds. Hope this helps. bw.. |

What I am trying to learn is how to reinstall the wuauserv (windows automatic update service) For one reason or another, it was removed from my list of services, and I tried the "sc create wuauserv" command line, and there are some other values that I do not know that are missing from the command line. |

Try this. Click on Start and select System Configuration from the Administrative Tools menu. If you have User Account Control turned on, you will need to select Continue. In System Configuration, select the Services tab. Scroll down, and enable the Windows Update service. |
