| | Google problem I have a strange problem at the moment in Vista Home Premium. When I try to search for anything on Google (I use Firefox), the browser seems to go to sleep, and does nothing. The tab message is "Loading..." and the status bar message is "Waiting for www.google.com.au...". The problem is the same in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera, BUT, there is no problem in Safari, it works fine? There is also no problem on my laptop. I recently had a browser hijack/trojan problem that was eventually removed by Spyware Doctor, and I suspect that is the cause of the problem, though it doesn't explain why only google searches are impacted. I have cleared cache, rebooted, checked proxies, searched the registry, reloaded Firefox, all to no avail. Has anyone seen this problem before and resolved it? It's annoying the stuff out of me, Google is like my right hand. |

| | Re: Google problem 1st... www.google.com.au are you in Australia ? does it happen when you just go to www.google.com ? I would download "HijackThis" and run it, then post your log to the hijack this group to get it analyzed.
