| | System Restore I get this message when I try system restore after - it appears to be complete - in other words it finds a restore point, I agree and it does its thing. Just when everything is restarted the error message is that System restore was not successful due to an "unexpected error". I have a new Dell laptop running Vista Home Premium (SP1 has not downloaded yet) and Norton Internet Security 2007 and Spybot latest version. I tell you this because on my old XP desktop I had to change a setting on NAV to enable system restore to work and once I did that everything was fine. - Thanks for your help/ideas |

| | Re: System Restore I received the same error. Googled a bit and found that you need to reboot in to safe mode then rum system restore. After doing that it worked for me. Good luck. |

| | Re: System Restore Here's an update to those that may need to know. If you are running Norton 360 2.0 then ( to be able to run Vista system restore correctly ) you need to disable the firewall protection within Norton 360 2.0. Thanks Mark for the heads up as this was the information I received from Norton support chat. |
