| | Mediaid.bin Hi folks, I created a backup but unfortunately deletet the Mediaid.bin file. Is there a way to rebuild this file so that I can restore my backup? Thanks a lot. |

| | RE: Mediaid.bin I also have the same problem. I tried the knowledgebase ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940263 ) but that isn't helpful at all. All it says is to call for support. I also have tried to create a backup, and copy the mediaid.bin file, but the restore failed. Also, editing with notepad fails, and UltraISO can't read it. Any help would be appreciated.
