Vista - Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon - Access Denied

Hello,

I get the following error: Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon
- Access Denied when I try to log on to my laptop running Vista. I booted on
safe mode and try to log in, it started to log in but then displays logging
off. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

I got this message after my desktop totally changed and had
issues...apparently this is caused by a hacker or virus. Find a system
restore point where your computer was running fine. And perform system
restore. Took care of my issue when M-Soft couldn't give me a fix.

The way I fixed it was as user above stated by doing a system restore to the point before the problem began

I too have had the same problem & I am unable to do a system restore,
unable to do a great deal as I can log in as another user, but I can't
install anything without adminstrators consent, but it just doesn't even
allow me to put a password in.

I have the same problem but I only have one account on my computer and its my administrative account. This happened after I tryed to restore it now my password doesnt work and i keep getting the message Group Policy Client Service Failed the logon Access Denied I would really appretiated if someone could tell me how to fix it without having to send in my computer for repair and paying 200 something dollars.
