| Guest | LCD Monitor Refresh Rates Hi All, I wonder if anyone can help. I am unable to set my widescreen monitor to 1680x1050, the option is available but only with a refresh rate of 75Hz which it cant do. At lower resolutions the 60Hz option shows up. I have tried this with both the microsoft driver, and the nvidia driver, also with the generic plug and play monitor, and a windows xp inf for my monitor. Any ideas? Cheers Zak |

Check the monitor instructions for the "native resolution" and run it thusly. Ignore the refresh rate on LCD monitors. |

| Guest | Re: LCD Monitor Refresh Rates Try Display Settings->Advanced Settings->List All Modes If it's not there, I believe it means the driver is telling Windows that the video card does not support it. -Mike "Zak Humphries" <zhumphries@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uJt9XqF0GHA.4368@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > The native resolution is 1680x1050x60 (works perfectly under XP) its only > in vista rc1 that I am FORCED into a 75Hz refresh rate which the monitor > cant handle. > > Cheers > > > "hb" <dev@null.invalid> wrote in message > news:OoCn$mF0GHA.4116@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... >> /Zak Humphries/ said: >> >>> I wonder if anyone can help.
