| Guest | error when trying to copy hard drive hi i have windows vista and i have filled my 40gb hard drive so i bought a new 100gb hd, i tried to copy everything from the 40 to the 100 using norton ghost, i formatted the 100gb and cloned using all the coreect options, however when i then put the 100 gb in the laptop it says preparing your desktop for the first time and then an error message appears that says something like rundll32.exe insufficient access or somethinmg like that does anybody have any suggestions to help me succesfully copy and use the new hard drive |

| Guest | Re: error when trying to copy hard drive You want to clone the old drive to the new? Generally you would install both, boot from the old drive and run the cloning software from within Vista. Then power down, change the jumpers on the drives to make the new drive primary and recboot. -- A Professional Amateur...If anyone knew it all, none of would be here!
