Vista - seagate freeagent external hard drive just stopped connecting

my segate external hard drive just stop connecting with my new vista OS. i
placed the cords in various usb ports and turned off and even unpluged the
drive. even rebooted the pc. that didnt work. please help

something similiar to this happened the other day. the light would not come
on. this happened on my old puter. i just got this hard drive a few months
ago. i know the drive has to be working. the light is on the puter and its
warm etc. im wondering is there somewhere to download any drivers etc for
this. first my ethernet port is acting funny now this. always something huh
