    Windows DVD Maker Error Message

I am having a little trouble burning dvds recently. The first few times I
burned dvds there was no problem, in fact it worked like a dream. Then out of
the blue, I get an error message saying that I ran out of memory. I checked
my hard drive and it had about 300 gigs left on it so that was not the case,
I have 2 gb's of ram so that was not the issue either. I even tried to reburn
it with smaller files and it still won't work. I even went as far as to
reinstall Vista but I am still getting the message.

Re: Windows DVD Maker Error Message

Often when DVD burning or CD burning stops working or I have problems
closing burning software or in the process of dragging material to be burned
or selecting it via browse or whent he burner won't come up regardless of
whether a utility called Device Manager says it is present or the driver is
working (it's been totally unreliable since its Windows 95 launch for this
(August 25, 1995) I use this MSKB and nuke any upper or lower filter values
    at the location below:

Fixing the problem simply involves deleting the filter entries for the
third-party device drivers. These entries can sometimes become damaged
(which is what produces the "corrupt registry" warning).

To delete the offending keys, open the Registry and navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlCl
ass\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. . Delete the keys named
    UpperFilters and LowerFilters and reboot.

This problem is always said to be more prevelant with Roxio but it's equally
    prevelant with Nero.

Give it a shot. If no joy, go to http://support.microsoft.com/search and
type in dvd not recognized xp (I know that's not a precise description of
your problem but it brings up about 6 KBs with additional solutions that are
    for rarer aspects of this0

    Good luck,
