aero not working, you can be a victim of software counterfeiting

Hi all,

I have a problem. I had a genuine vista, bought before two months with Sony
PC.
Everything was fine, but couple day ago i installed a Microsoft Flight
simulator, and now i got some problem with my PC.
Everytime i starting my PC, i'm having error, that "aero not working, you
can be a victim of software counterfeiting".

Also i cannot do an updates. Getting error 8000FFFF. it is releated with a
genuine

Steps, which i made to try to troubleshout.

I made clean boot- the same.
Check if my windows is activated - Activated
Check a validation at www.microsoft.com/genuine - validation is succesfull
Checked if a Software Licensing Aoftware - running

So any ideas, what can i do next.

Thanks in advance.

Re: aero not working, you can be a victim of software counterfeiting

It's likely that you are running out of resources for both Aero, your Theme,
and Flight Sim, both of which are extreamly resource intensive. Turn off the
Aero theme if you want to run Flight Sim, and the error will probably stop.
I would guess that you can safely ignore the warning about being a "victim
of software counterfeiting" even if you decide to keep both going.

Re: aero not working, you can be a victim of software counterfeiti

Thanks for an opinion.
But problem is, that it is related with updates. Then i'm trying to do an
updates, it is saying me error 8000FFFF and suggested to check if i have
genuine copy at Microsoft.com/genuine. After i'm checking it, again promoting
to install updates and again please check genuine. I want to get rid of these
errors somehow

Regards

Darius

You are prompted to activate Windows Vista after you install Windows Vista
Service Pack 1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947519

What is the source of this "Microsoft Flight simulator"? "Unofficial",
perhaps?
It sounds to me like you've been infected by a virus or some form of
malware.

Is your AV up to date? What about anti-malware tools? Have you performed
*complete* scans?
