Windows Vista Service Pack 1 install question

I have two computers running Vista Home Premium. When Service Pack 1 came
out, my desktop, which is a clone I built myself, downloaded and installed
Service Pack 1 without any problem, but my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop seems
oblivious to Service Pack 1's existence. Although automatic update is on
both computers with similar settings (full automatic update), and the laptop
has downloaded a number of updates since then and keeps telling me the
computer is up to date, I can't help wondering why Service Pack 1 hasn't
downloaded and installed, and whether I should install it manually or just
assume the computer has a good reason to not install it and leave it alone.
Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello Larry,
There is no such thing as automatic installing of SP1. You have to do so manually,( if it is offered to you in your Windows Update Center.) Last time I checked, SP1 is still not offered in Windows Update Center. But if you are from other country other than US and Canada, who knows ?!

Hi Larry, see if there is a reason -

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is not available for installation from Windows Update and is
    not offered by Automatic Updates:

There are a lot of people that didn't wait that wished they had. If you are
having problems with Vista right now, SP1 may help. However, if you are not
having problems right now, SP1 may very well give you some.
