| | question on vista (I posted this about a week ago and for some reason it did not show up on my reader, so I'm trying again ) I've been using Vista now for about 2 weeks. It came on my new laptop. I have the following questions. 1.When I attempt to start some program desktop shortcuts, instead of running, the file is first opened up in the Explorer file handler. Then if I open the icon in the Explorer it finally will then run. How can I change the settings to get the app to "just run on the first double click" ? 2.When I create a New Folder, it doesn't give me a chance to name the it. It just comes up New Folder. |

I guess I will have to try and figure this one out myself. |

Calm down, no need to get excited. Let me try to answer the 2nd question (seems to be the easier of the two.) I'll show you how I would do to create a new folder, and see if it's different than your way. Ok, I'm right handed. Let's say I want to create a new folder under the Document folder : 1. Right click on an open space inside the Doc folder. 2. Left click on NEW 3. Left click on Folder 4. A New Folder icon will appear. Type in the name, then left click. I'm done. Is it any different than you would have done ? |
