| | Converting Word 97-2003 document to Word 2007 I use Vista and want to know how to open a file that was originally in Word 97 – 2003 to open in Vista Word 2007 and how to convert that file to the Word 2007 format. When I searched Microsoft on this issue, it said to click on Start and look for the word convert. When I did that I could not find the work convert. Jerry |

| | Re: Converting Word 97-2003 document to Word 2007 Hi Jerry, You should be able to just open the file in Word 2007. You will only see the convert button if you are viewing a document that was created or saved as a previous version of Word. -- Paul "Jerry" wrote: Quote: > Nonny - > > Thanks for the reply. | | Re: Converting Word 97-2003 document to Word 2007 Paul – Thanks for your feedback. My mistake was looking for the word create for a file that did not need to change. I feel a little foolish that I did not figure it out. However, you said my Word 97 – 2003 files should convert automatically when I use Word 2007. And, they all seem to do that. However, this one file did not. And when I went through the steps to convert it to Word 2007, the file did convert, but some of the information was missing. This particular file had different formats in it and I suspect the conversion was not able to convert them all successfully. Thanks, Jerry "PaulB" wrote: Quote: > Hi Jerry, > You should be able to just open the file in Word 2007. > You will only see the convert button if you are viewing a document that was > created or saved as a previous version of Word. > > -- > Paul > > > "Jerry" wrote: > Quote: > > Nonny - > > > > Thanks for the reply.
