abuot reg edit.

hi guys,when i open regedit or msconfig in run,both opend in notepad with eccrypted format.I am not able to see msconfig and regedit. please help me regarding.please please please.and i event cant change folder name

I'd love to help you but your post makes no sense. What do you mean "both
opend in notepad with eccrypted format [sic]"? You don't open msconfig or
regedit in Notepad. They are programs that run all by themselves. What does
this have to do with not being able to change a folder name?

It's not encryption you are seeing but rather the hexadecimal code of a
binary file being "translated" and displayed by a text editor.

Try opening a CMD prompt, and type regedit or msconfig from there. Does it
open okay then?

Does this happen with any other .exe files? If it does, maybe Notepad has
become associated with .exe files somehow. In that case, look at this:
