| | User Profiles are corrupt and I'm unable to login. Hey, I got a brand new laptop installed with Vista and had absolutely no problems logging in for the first weeks. But recently, specifically after a Update Install, the computer rebooted and came up with an Error saying that it could not access C:\Users. When trying to log in, (my account is an admin), it told me that the User Profiles Service was corrupt and could not load my profile. I've tried repairing/restoring via the F8 Menu at Start Up but nothing seems to fix it. The repair made the original Error message stop popping up but I still can't even log on to my profile. I believe I know how to copy everything to another User Profile, but the problem is, I can't even log on past the User Selection screen to do anything! It's rather frustrating... So, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. At last resort, I was planning on just calling the Support Line for my manufacturer. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. PS) I'm on a different computer right now, in case you were wondering. |
