| | Adobe 5.0 / Vista I have a cd with a lot of useful test on it in Adobe 5.0. When I try to open it, I get a message that says there are known incompatiblities. However, a trip to the Adobe website doesn't reveal a fix or a patch. Any help is appreciated |

The only way I can view the contents of the CD previouslly mentioned is on an old computer with Reader 5.0 installed....Installing 5.0 on the new computer doesn't work because as already stated there is compatability issues with Vista. | | RE: Adobe 5.0 / Vista As you have found out Adobe 5 is incompatible with Vista, as a possible solution to your problem try a program called 'Foxit Reader" is is a free download and you may be able to read your old PDF files. | | Re: Adobe 5.0 / Vista You need to contact the folks who provided the CD and find out why their documents won't work with the newest version of the Adobe software. As I indicated previously, there isn't any way or fix or patch to get a version of Acrobat Reader that old to install in Vista - it won't happen.
