    RC1 CPP Kit

Hope that this does not post twice......

Having received Vista Beta 2 Kit from Microsoft, I have not seen any
information on when RC1 CCP Kit will be shipped.. It was my understanding
that I would receive RC1 from them since I ordered Beta 2 Kit....

Any info would be greatly appreciated.....

I would advise you to read a bit in this group.
Your question has been answered many times.
You will get an email with your original key and a download link plus the
info on when you will receive the kit if ordered.

That's because CPP hasn't got RC1 yet. When we do, you'll get the email
soon. That the way it has worked with other stuff anyways...

Actually, Microsofts website states that RC1 is available for CPP and that
you should have recived an e-mail in Early Sept. If you were part of the CPP
program from June Or beta 2. However I did not recive this email so I called
Microsoft and was told that the website is not correct, and that currently
it is only available to MSDN and TECHNET. But should be available soon. Go
figure, leave it to MS to post saying that it is available and then not make
it available, and then say ooops our site is wrong but lets not fix it. lol

    Re: RC1 CPP Kit

Microsoft has already started sending out the emails. I received mine
yesterday. It's actually the wording about sending out the emails that is
incorrect. It should really state 'We are currently in the process of
sending out emails to CPP participants.' Whoever wrote it needs a prod ;-)
Funny thing is, the download was available for CPP folk before it got to
    MSDN and Technet!!

In the coming weeks we have heard that Microsoft will open RC1 to new
registrations. That might have been what was confusing whoever you spoke to
    at Microsoft.

    Re: RC1 CPP Kit

Pretty funny though. :-) I did follow the link and have the RC1 and used the
Beta 2 key that I was given and it worked great.

    Thanks for the response.
