| | Error Message: Windows host process (Rundll32) Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me out with the following error message that pops up once my machine has booted up. I could be wrong but, it seems to have started just over a week ago ever since I completely removed the latest Nero 8 from my machine using the Nero CleanTool from their website. It seems to appear about once in every 3 start-ups. However, I'm certainly no expert and could well be way off the mark. After lots of Google searches I'm still none the wiser as I couldn't find any results for said error message. If someone could help me out and possibly help me resolve this, then I'd be ever so grateful. Regards, Chris. Have a look on the left for anything about Nero, rundll32 etc. You may find a file name or something which you could Google. Disable first, if you pick the wrong thing just enable on next boot. Then delete, if you want to, when you are sure you have found it. ' |

| | Re: Error Message: Windows host process (Rundll32) Hi, thanks for the reply. However, I have tried that. I disabled pretty much everything I could think of that may have been causing an error on start-up. I've had a look under msconfig and Windows Defender and disabled programs that were not needed. Also, there were no traces whatsoever of anything left behind from Nero. I'm truly stumped. ![]() -- Shocking ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shocking's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=50551 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=976684 http://forums.techarena.in |

| | Re: Error Message: Windows host process (Rundll32) I do have a Lexmark printer, yes. However, a few days ago I disabled plenty of programs which were not needed on start-up. A couple of them were NVIDIA related; so as well as updating my NVIDIA drivers, I had a good Google search to see if they were safe to disable on start-up. It turns out they were and, so far, so good. Fingers crossed. ![]() -- Shocking ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shocking's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=50551 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=976684 http://forums.techarena.in |
