| | Streaming under User/Limited Account with Vista Dear all, I'm having problems streaming with WMP11 on a Vista Home Premium system. I have a system with three accounts. One Admin, and two User. If I stream a site under my Administrator account, it works fine. If I them stream the same site under one of the User accounts, I get the missing Codec message, and the system stops. I know the codec is fine, thus I do not understand the issue. I've checked the firewall, and file associations, but noting appears wrong. I then discovered that if I run WMP11 with the "Run as admin" option on the user accounts, it works fine, thus it appears something in Vista Limited account controls is stopping the streaming. Can anybody help to sort this out, or offer a solution that does not imvolve letting my young family have Admin rights! Many thanks, Donchik |
