| | can Vista Windows Eplorer be reverted to XP version? I'd like to get rid of the Windows Explorer version running on Vista -- I don't care that much for the ability to see the contents of each folder, but I really miss the effective search capability of the older version of Explorer. Are there options I can select, or can I install the older version? |

| | Re: can Vista Windows Eplorer be reverted to XP version? Hi, Sorry, but no you can't go backwards like that. There are, however, other file managers available for free: http://www.google.com/search?source=...q=file+manager One of them may be to your liking. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "BrainyBear" <BrainyBear@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:F9B9B92C-A2F4-43C2-A22A-F2D3957F37B1@xxxxxx Quote: > I'd like to get rid of the Windows Explorer version running on Vista -- I > don't care that much for the ability to see the contents of each folder, > but > I really miss the effective search capability of the older version of > Explorer.
