| | Re: windows vista produckt Key You don't say whether this Notebook was purchased New from a reputable store or from somewhere like e-bay. I'm somewhat puzzled at you approaching the 'seller' and being told that Windows is not guaranteed; that sets alarm bells ringing. This are made worse by you indicating that you have called all the support that you know and they say you must buy another copy. This makes me wonder if the copy you have maybe a pirated copy. If this is the case then, depending upon where you purchased the Notebook, you will probably 'have' to purchase a legitimate copy. If you purchased it through e-bay then you don't really have much redress. However if a store sold it to you brand new then a legitimate copy should have been installed in which case it is up to the store to put things right - either that or you tell Microsoft that they are supplying pirated copies of Windows on their systems. The product code is usually located on a sticker on the bottom of a laptop/notebook so check there first to see if you can locate it. -- -- John Barnett MVP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is".
