How to completely remove AVG from computer

Hi
thankyou for all the help in choosing an alternative anti virus program to
AVG to run on Vista Home Premium. I have opted for the free home edition of
Avast, I'll see how that goes, failing that I'm thinking about purchasing
the NOD 32 Anti Virus.
I have uninstalled AVG, but notice there are still components left on my
computer, I really want to remove the whole shebang of AVG as I don't want
to incur additional problems when installing my new anti virus, am I missing
something during uninstall?

Thanks again

Denise

If there is still an AVG folder in C:\Program Files, assuming that you
uninstalled correctly, just delete the folder..

What is left behind will not harm anything as long as you are sure the
uninstall went right through properly, so don't get too worried about
it. If you think "Leftovers" from AVG are bad you should see the trash
Norton leaves behind I just removed it from 3 XP machines at work and
wham, doubled the speed instantly.

I think Avast is running well on those, bit less resource use than AVG I
think.
