    Desktop Font

My desktop font for the icon titles has a shadow and is difficult to read.
Please can someone explain how to get rid of the shadow.

    Thank you

Click the "start orb" at the lower left

    Go to Control Panel

Switch to "Classic" (on the left side)

    Click on System

Then on "Advanced System Settings" (on the left side)

You will be at the Advanced tab. Click "Settings".

Tick "Custom" and make the changes you want (Use drop shadows...)
