| | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player Hi, Can't play at all? Or do they open and stutter or start/stop? The latter would be a problem with your throughput, either the connection is not fast enough or some other program on your system is occupying the bandwidth. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "frustrated vista user" <frustratedvistauser@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:2A33984A-DB3F-4671-B23B-89FB1C3B818B@xxxxxx Quote: >I have an HP Pavillion entertainment Pc with vista business, amd turion >64x2 > processor and nvidia graphics card. | | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player What Rick said. Also, http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#isolate was my old diagnostics list which helps identify where a problem might be. With the more data that Rick asked about, it should be possible to isolate out your failure point pretty quickly. =) -- Speaking for myself only. | ultimate x64 | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player Hi All This is my problem also, exactly. Until recently I had no problem streaming with WMP but all of a sudden no streaming, only download and then play. I've also gone through all the default program setting and there's no change. Also I tried a different browser-nothing. Other laptops and desktops in the premise work as they should. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player My problem also. I am running at 11Mbps on the WIFI, have a very powerfull machine NVIDEA 9600 etc., but streaming only runs for 3 secs then starts buffering again. Is this a cache issue? If so, how can I increase Cache size to largest? My old Laptop running XP has no problems whatsoever with the same files. many thanks |

I simply can't click to play now. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit. | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player Thanks for your time Bub, but as a newbie. How do I grab from the URL and specifically 'Open WMP URL?' |

| ultimate x64 | Re: Streaming Video Move Media Player Pretty easy: Right click on the video link and select copy. Open WMP and click file then "Open Url" and paste the link copied into the box. This is the only way I can stream a program anymore, who knows why. |
