| | Windows Update error 80070103 HP 530 Notebook PC, cannot install driver update for inbuilt Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG adaptor, either through Windows Update or via HP SP38888. Windows Update gives a code while direct update just says driver installation was not successful. This is an update that is flagged as necessary. The wireless adaptor is not functioning properly. Any ideas, anyone? |

Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. NOTE: After the files are unpacked, the Setup program runs automatically. If the setup program (isetup.exe) needs to be run manually, look for it in the download directory. Saving to disk takes longer than to directly download and install. You could try installing in Safe Mode. Might be something there. The note suggests installation is not always straightforward. You said this earlier "The wireless adaptor is not functioning properly."
