| | IP email sent to programs My IP which is Windstream (formerly Alltel) is where I 'go' to 1st check my email so that I 'use THEIR servers' protection to weed out virus, etc.; Windstream says once I 'open' the program, it immediately 'dumps' it into my email program. However, it is sending it to IncrediMail (and NOT to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007). Do I HAVE to 'uninstall' "IncrediMail"? I like some of its 'features', but it gets slow. The 'gold pearl' button that 'shows up in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 is gone...so apparently I do NOT get my email 'dumped' there and I think I'd rather have it there. Using VISTA Business on a 64x2 dual core processor w/3GB of memory. This is getting 'old' and my 'contacts' and/or address book is NOT the same in any of the 3 email programs and I can't seem to get 'information' from one to another. What am I doing wrong? -- God Bless! LMA |

| | Re: IP email sent to programs Hi "Not Me" - it seems to have worked, thank you so much! It's just been a bit hard to 'get used to an operating program with so many 'kinks' and NOT having someone who 'understands' you language to try to deal with. I'm sure I will get 'chastized' for my remarks...but between VISTA and NAFTA...we sort of got the 'short end of that stick'! While I'm in my 'asking mood' - do you have to 'type in ALL your contacts' under EACH email program? Apparently, @ least one is not getting any information (but I think that is because of being 'grandfathered' into the IP; and the other 2 have been 'changed'...but I 'miss' an address or two here and there! What causes 'doubling' up on emails? You sound as if you have worked with VISTA enough to understand it better than I have. Thank you so much for answering that first question...if you can help with the rest...please do! -- God Bless! | | Re: IP email sent to programs doubling up on emails? getting duplicates in your mail program can be caused by the server not syncing with the mail program properly to know which messages it has already downloaded. That is usualy a server problem. Sending double emails is usually from accidentally clicking SEND twice. it can be a server error, but not often. Most email programs have a way to export/import your address book. It depends on the program. Poke around in the settings and see if there is something labelled import/export. An online mail server (like Yahoo) does not always have an easy way to do it.
