| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Odd Server not Found errors Hi Gentlebeings, I'm a "new recruit" to Windows vista, it came pre-installed on the new Toshiba laptop I bought last week. Now a little bit of background and we'll get to the root problem in a moment. Early last week my backup drive for my websites failed, when I went back to the server to obtain new backups, well, that failed too and the server crashed, it was a vps server and all data pretty much wound up lost. The host generously rebuilt the server, but it was basically a clean install, so I had to replace the sites on the server from scratch. The vps is a .ca domain, and the sites located on it are .ca, .com, .biz and .net domains. Here's the problem: I can access without any problems the .ca domains, but no other domains on the server. But, it seems that everyone and their brother can access all of the domains. First I thought there was something wrong with the Linksys router, but I took that out and connected directly through the modem. Naturally I then thought it was the modem/isp, but after discussing it with them, was assured that they're seeing everything fine and that nothing was blocked, least of all those sites I had created... I then suspected that it was the host/server problem, but again, I was assured that this wasn't the case as again nothing was blocked, and they had no problems accessing the site. So it came down to something here... Now I've been able to clear the dns using ipconfig /dnsflush, and a few other similar cache clearing options, but still am unable to see those other sites... I restarted in safe mode, and couldn't see the sites... I disabled system startup programs, and couldn't see the sites... I've tried everything I could think of and still cannot see those sites, but again, everyone else can see them just fine. Makes it rather hard to re-build them when I can't access them... Help! I'm at my wits end... Ray |

Translation: we have no clue what you are talking about because we don't see what you're "bumping". |
