svchost.exe shutdown and Generic Host Shutdown

Good Morning to everyone,

I am having a bit of trouble with Vista x64 Home and I am hoping someone
here can point me in the right direction.

First the Log Event
Faulting application svchost.exe_SysMain, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp
0x47919291, faulting module sysmain.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp
0x4791adbd, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00000000000353b5,
process id 0x210, application start time 0x01c8c8770df7f849.

I was playing Prey when all of a sudden my mouse and keyboard went haywire
for a minute or two. After it returned to normal I decided to call it a
night and quit the game to find a "Generic Host has been shutdown" error on
my desktop. I checked in my log and this error was all I could find, but I
would like to also point out that everything in my system had also shutdown
and reset at the very moment that the svchost crashed. Mouse, sound, input
devices, etc. it all stopped working.

Recently I added a VisionTek Radeon HD3870 to my system and because of the
card size I had to move my SATA cables off of port 1 and 2 to port 3 and 4.
I am wondering if this could be the cause of it? I have noticed that one of
my hard drives has had more activity than usual when it was in idle.

On the Virus end of it I do have the latest Adobe Flash as well as Firefox2
with the NoScript+Adblock combination. Windows One Care is up to date and
has not found any suspicious files or viruses in my system. I also use
HijackThis three times a week to check for anything unusual in my system as
I know that A/V solutions can barely keep up with the viruses today.

Thanks in advance to everyone,
Nathan Jones
