Vista is so buggy

I cant even get my printer to work. It keeps trying to install new drivers
every time i turn it on. Especially after it wakes up from Hibernation?
Anyone having luck with HP 5180 printers? Sure would like to be able to
print. Says my device is ready to use but still wont print, now i have 2
versions of the device in the printer selection. Thanks in advance

Sounds more like a HP problem to me. In my experience, HP software and
drivers are better installed from downloads or the enclosed disk than by
Vista itself (usually, Vista comes up asking for the installation media
anyway).

Re: Vista is so buggy

I think the HP Vista driver is buggy rather than Vista itself. Some people
have no problems but others have real problems getting the HP driver to
work. As far as I can tell the latest drivers are here:-

and I presume these are the ones you are trying to use. Have you examined
the FAQ's on this site?

Good luck.

That's actually a common problem with the HP printer installer, and it
appears on XP as well; it has little or nothing to do with Vista. This
problem has existed for at least three or four years.

Have a look at the HP support site for information on how to resolve it for
your printer.

You should, however, be sure that you have full rights to do the
installation.
