| | Boot Time Is there any way to analize the boot time of vista. In Xp I used bootvis to see what drivers/hardware is at fault. My Vista ultimate machine takes about 5 to 8 minutes to start up. I know it must be something to do with the devices or services, because when I select diagnostic startup, the machine loads very fast. Open the Event Viewer. Drill down to Applications and Services Logs => Microsoft => Windows => Diagnostics-Performance => Operational Look at the events in the Task Category "Boot Performance".
