start up repair

have got the following message after system repair

system volume on disk is corrupt


is there any solution to this

You hard drive has failed in some way. You need to look into your
replacement options.

Hi Thomas,

In addition to Mark's post, sometimes formatting the hard drive and doing a clean reinstall will allow it to work again. If a format does not help, then your hard drive is dead.

Have you tried Error-checking?

Right click on disk drive>Properties>Tools>Error-checking
