| | RE: CPU Gadget Revisited Hello. This may be a tangent... I found one black CPU meter to download, but the notes said the memory part wasn't working, plus it was in .rar format which I can't extract... Next I searched my computer for my gadgets. The user-specific ones are in Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets, but the MS-installed ones are all in Program Files\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets. When I went there and opened the CPU gadget, all the old (black) .PNG files were there, loose outside the images folder (kept from Beta 2 I suppose, because I upgraded). I just moved them into the images folder, replacing the ones that were there. (Actually I couldn't do that without messing with permissions, but I was able to copy & rename the gadget to something else "myCPU.gadget", and then do the replacement.) Now both gadgets show up in the Gadget Gallery (both named CPU Meter since I didn't do anything else like rename it within the file), and I can use either or both. Nice to have my black CPU meter back, hope it works for you. (If you don't still have the black .PNGs, you can probably get them from that one you downloaded.) | | Re: CPU Gadget Revisited I just posted a reply, but I think it went to IE7 neverland. Basically, it asked what specifically didn't work. Were you able to find the old black ..pngs and copy them, paste them into the \images folder of the cpu gadget, or a copy of that gadget., (which must have a .gadget extension, e.g. myCPU.gadget)? Do two CPU meters then appear in your Gadget Gallery? Be sure to quit the one that is running before proceeding. You can always quit and reopen sidebar or restart windows for good measure.
