Vista - Remove Mini-Icons to the left of Videos and Pictures

I noticed that when I go to my video folder, it takes a while before it
finishes loading the small screenshots of the videos (generally, the
beginning of the clip). Is there anyway to disable loading those small icons
to the left of video files?

Change the view to list.

right click on FOLDER, select Custonize tab and select from the drop down list the option for Files and Folders.
select the option for Apply To All files/folders. apply and OK out.
