| | REGISTRY KEY FOR WEB BROWSER DOWNLOAD DELETED!! Hi all, While manually uninstalling a certain game from my Laptop running on Windows Vista, I accidentally deleted some registry keys unrelated to the game. I don't remember which ones. I now see the following problem. Whenever I try downloading a file to my hard disk, I get the download dialog with the progress bar showing me the download process. After the download completes, I am unable to see the file in the specified download directory! This problem is seen with IE 7.0.6000.16681 as well as Mozilla Firefox 3.0. Can anyone please help me out with this issue? Which registry keys are responsible for download of files? Please HELP! Thanks, Ni****. |

Before you delete anything in the Registry ALWAYS make a backup. The only option I see for you is to do a System Restore. -- All the best, SG Is your computer system ready for Vista? https://winqual.microsoft.com/hcl/ Want to keep up with the latest news from MS? http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn&ned=us&topic=t Just type in Microsoft |
