| | Double-clicking a folder in the right pane always opens a new wind I have Vista x64 SP1 and when I double-click on a folder in the right pane, a new window opens up. I have selected the option "Open each folder in the same window", but explorer is ignoring this setting. The only way to get it to work is to right-click on the folder, then choose "Explore". I haven't seen a solution posted here or on the Internet. Hello, Microsoft? What is the hotfix for this? Pls generate one! |

| | Re: Double-clicking a folder in the right pane always opens a new Try using other security software too, including the ones I mentioned.I may be wrong but I do not think there exists any other reason why `Open` instead of `Explore` would become the default option (written in bold) when you right-click a folder while in the exploring mode. This behaviour does not exist by default in a clean installation. You also mention that you have set the settings correctly. So most probably something `under-the-hood` is causing to let that setting go ignored.
