ADSL link up then down every 30 secs

[Also posted under network_Sharing]

Very frustrating week as my internet connection is not working
properly, and worse not even consistent.

Either my connection seems normal or the link up then down alternating
for hours.

I'm running Vista 32
Using either my speedtouch 536v6 or Belkin G wireless router to
access. Problem occurs with either.
Have used filtered dsl line or not. Problem occurs with either.
Have shut my comp. off. Problem occurs with either.
ISP have visited twice, check the line, shrugged their shoulders and
closed the ticket.
And worse of all not consistent, so it's hard to locate the problem.
It connection will work fine for an hour (like right now) then just
stop working.

I have reset both modem, reset user setting, obtained new ip, etc,
etc.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I just read about unchecking IPv6, but will wait until my connection
drops again.

Also Network Magic does not detect my internet connection, when I know
it's working. Strange

Thx

Dan

Have you actually called your service provider to see if they are
experiencing any problems? When my internet connection goes down, they're
the first people I call.

Service provider has been called at least 5 times, with two visits and
no solution.

Are you using WPA encryption, by any chance? I had my ADSL set up that way
at first, and it was constantly cutting out on me, then coming back on.
Changed it to WEP, and it doesn't happen any more. Sure, the encryption
isn't as good, but then I'm not doing that much high-privacy stuff here
anyway. Just wondered if that might be your problem, too.

Well went down again last night for about 6 hours.

Was recommended to record the ipconfig /all:

I don't think it has anything to do with the wireless, as the problem
still exists if I use the speedtouch modem.
Also, the problem still occurs if my comp. is off.

I'm starting to really think that the problem is not on my side of the
wall. Unfortunately, they have a monopoly in the country.

Thx anyways
