Vista RC1 on my Core 2 Duo

Hi,
i have installed Vista RC1 on my Olidata PC with Core 2 Duo E6300 processor.
The installation procedure work fine but when i have to put the user name
and the password it run very slowly. It run very slowly in the measuring
performance phase, in 6 hours it remain at the beginning of the progress bar.
If i try to restart Vista, when it prompt me to insert user and password it
is again slowly.
Have you any suggestion?

Re: Vista RC1 on my Core 2 Duo

I'm also running a core 2 duo 2.4Ghz (on Asus P5WD DH). Only the
installation was quite boring (30minutes the same screen). But after
installtions almost everything works well. The only negative point for me
are the huge memory consumption (compared to clean XP) and big icons on the
dektop (my personal opinion)

Re: Vista RC1 on my Core 2 Duo

I'll be throwing RC1 on my e6700 system today just to test it and see how it
works...I'll let you know if it's got the same problem...

Re: Vista RC1 on my Core 2 Duo

Halley,

Do you mean the Theater 550 TV Tuner?

If so, then yes. I have a 3rd party (PowerColor) Theater 550. It uses the
ATI 550 chip. I haven't even looked yet to see if it was recognized by
Vista, though I doubt it. I'll look around for drivers for it.

Re: Vista RC1 on my Core 2 Duo

Halley,

Which motherboard are you using? I had my E6700 on an MSI 975X Platinum
motherboard and that caused me nothing but trouble.
