Graphics Problem?

Hi, I need some help with my computer.

My current graphics card is nVidia Geforce 7350 LE which came with the computer that I got not too long ago. I have Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit), 2GB of RAM, 2.40GHz. So.. everything should be compatible as it was working before...

I don't know what exactly happened, but I left my computer on over-night, checked in the morning and realized that my Windows Vista Premium theme changed to Win Vista Basic theme. Then I checked Windows Experience Index to check my base score.. and the result was 1. The Graphics: windows aero and Gaming Graphics dropped from 4+ to 1 all in one night, but other categories were ok. My 3D screen saver is now getting an error "The screensaver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D". And I can't play any games either because of this graphics issue.

I looked for solutions in yahoo answers and already tried to reinstall the latest drive from the nVidia official website, reinstalled DirectX9/X10, rebooted my computer, and scanned for any spyware with Norton Internet Security 08. My last solution might be to recover from the Recovery Drive or send it for repairs... but I'm going to lose some files/documents that are important. Not hoping to have to do this..

Another problem is that I'm randomly losing disk space in C: Drive.. I had over 270GB of free space just few days ago, but the C: Drive has only 188GB and I think it is still decreasing.. I'm not downloading anything.. Does this have to do anything with the graphics problem? Or maybe... the hard drive has the problem that effected the g. card? Sorry, not too good with technology

I tried the GPU-Z utility and it said that I have the lastest version.
Here are 2 screenshots:

Sorry, I posted this on the graphics section.. but I'm in desperate need of help.

So I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem.
Thanks in advance

Re: Graphics Problem?

this is a support msg for Transparkn who apparently hasn't got a response. I
have the same screensaver problem ie "The screensaver can't run because it
requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D"" message
but haven't been able to find a reply thaT fits.
I have uninstalled and updated nvidia driver (Nvidia 6100 N405) without
change. Some sites suggest a wireless mouse interference & rec a 'HID
Non-user data input filter' download fix but I don't have a wireless mouise
one although I have a wireless modem for home network.
Anyway I can't connect to download that 'update' presumably because the site
can't detect any wireless prob needing it. Wd be grateful for advice. M

RE: Graphics Problem?

I have a similar issue with an ATI RADEON X1550. AERO score dropped from 4.5
to 2.9. They must have raised the bar on AERO or hosed the test somehow.

Re: Graphics Problem?

Regarding the part about randomly losing disk space in C: Drive

Vista will use up to 15% of your hard disk for system restore. Until you
reach that limit your available space on your hard drive will keep going
down.

Aero is a performance hog. Shut it off and get back some of the
performance Vista steals.

BS.
Get a real PC.

A Geforce 6800 gets a 4.8 ... so it doesn't have to be the top of the line,
just better than a $50 card from WallyMart.

I have a real PC. The impact of Aero on video display speed is
significant. Do some non-subjective testing and get back to me.

PS. How are people with laptops going to stuff that 6800 in there?
