vista domain clients permissions

I have a Win2003 server domain with Winxp/Vista clients. I noticed that
windows updates cannot be carried out by vista clients as it says
insufficient permissions. If I log on locally to the vista client onto the
admin account of the local machine then the updates go ahead.
How can I get around this?
I want domain pc's to auto download and update .
Thanks

Re: vista domain clients permissions

Check your update settings.
Check user permissions.

I dont know much about windows servers. Are you using a remote desktop to
connect to the server machine?
