Vista - forgotten password!

Hi, my neice has changed her windows vista logon password on her acer
5315 laptop and has no idea what she has changed it to. Whatever I try
I cant get into it! I was hoping there would be a recovery disc in the
box, but no. Cant even access it through safe mode. Any ideas please?

Hi AlecGreen;

Just after reading yor post I browsed the different discussion groups in
Vista amd noticed the very first one is titled "Administration, Accounts and
Passwords". I don't have an answer other than to ask if she has both an
Administrator and her own User account. If this is the case; ask if she
knows the Admin account PW. But you'll have much greater probablility of
getting a quality/accurate/helpful answer in the foremention group!
